ATEX stands for ATmosphères Explosives and is regulated by two EU directives (2014/34/EC and 1999/92/EC). One for the manufacturers of products and another for the users of the products.
ATEX is relevant to consider in various applications where dust from e.g. wood or aluminum and various vapors are to be extracted from the work place. This is needed in a number of different industries.
