The customer used a grinding process for small components on a height-adjustable workbench and wanted to remove any dust, that was generated for the benefit of the employees carrying out the work and to prevent any particles from escaping into the outside environment.
A GFB2 Filter was chosen as an effective solution. The filter is supplied as standard with a compressed air cleaning system and collection bucket system in the base. It removes up to 99.97% of particles from the extracted air. The solution includes an MEF energy-saving fan with a backward curved impeller. The fan is ideal with VAV systems, which adjust to the desired pressure in the duct system. This ensures that the customer acquires an energy-optimised solution meeting the customer’s pressure requirements. The fan is equipped with a sound box, which reduces noise by 10–15 dB(A). The entire unit is controlled by a Multibox lll. To reduce electricity consumption and ensure that the fan can operate as required, a fast-acting motor damper is fitted with the unit. The unit has been delivered and Kemp & Lauritzen’s customer is very satisfied with the results. The employees responsible for the grinding work are very pleased that their employer protects both their health and the environment.
